I am having a clear out and have a number of magazines available,
mainly Practical Wireless and some RadComs, and a few books. I’ll
bring them to the next meeting and would suggest a modest donation
to club funds for any you take.

I have scanned in a number of these and passed them to the sysop on americanradiohistory.com. He turns the scans into pdf files that can be downloaded. We now have most of the issues for the 50s, 60s and 70s on the web. Earlier issues for the 30s and 40s would be most welcome.
Short Wave Maghazine, Radio Constructor and Wireless World are also being sought for the same fate!

I could do with a colour photocopy of the front cover for
Practical Wireless 1969 December, both sides, to complete
the scan properly. The mice got at mine!
I have sent scans for 1970 April, 1969 December, 1966 November.
When Dave processes these there will be but TWO issues missing on his site between 1958 and 1979 to have the complete sequence for those years!!
These are: September 1969 and August 1959
Can I beg, borrow or steal them from any reader, or even, “gulp” buy them?

The Practical Wireless postings on americanradiohistory.com
have been going on apace. We now have 1949 to 1984 complete
apart from August 1957 which is in error.
Dave is also building up a collection of Radio Constructors
which make interesting reading.
Does anyone have any RadCom disks for 1976 – 1990 that they
want to move on?

I found a number of magazines including Practical Wireless,
Radio Constructor, Electronics Today International,
Short Wave Magazine and Wireless World, on an american site
americanradiohistory.com so I scanned in a number of mine and sent them to him. (a set of 300 dpi B&W JPGs of each issue) David turns them into a PDF file and puts them on the web.
Radio Constructor only needs 4 issues from 1961 (Sept-Dec) and 8 issues from 1962 (he has Feb, Jun, Jul, Oct) to complete the series. **** WANTED *******
Practical Wireless is complete from 1945 to 1989.
Earlier issues are rare and were weekly.
ETI still has lots of gaps.
Short Wave Magazine is slowly getting some contributions. Derek gave me a number to send, and Michael has promised about 100 more!
Wireless World is nearly completed.

Love the work you do Peter!
It is sooo interesting reading the old mags.
There are a lot of articles that are fundamental to our hobby, that most modern magazines don’t seem to cover. Fundamental electronics, antenna behaviour are just some examples.
It’s good to refresh ourselves with knowledge captured in the old articles!

Scans for all Radio Constructor Magazines were completed last week and are now available for download as PDFs from the american site.
