February Meeting – Report

Our annual “Sale of Surplus Equipment” is invariably one of the most popular events in the club’s annual programme of meetings. This year’s was no exception with some 40 people turning up to hunt for bargains and have a good chat with fellow members.

For once there were no large “black boxes” for sale but there were a few vhf hand-helds and a few low-voltage power supplies. However, there were lots of what might be called accessories, such as soldering iron stations, Morse keys, matching boxes and mobile whips antennas as well as plenty of components for constructors. These included coax connectors, surface mount components, plugs and sockets of various types, copper clad boards, Vero boards, resistors and capacitors. Here were the real bargains with much of the stuff being sold at low prices.

Another very enjoyable meeting. Many thanks to Peter G3YJE for manning the tea bar.
